Not an original idea, but here’s my 2009 playlist…
I’m not going to claim these are the “best” songs of 2009, but they are songs that I either heard on the radio frequently, got many plays from me pesonally, or jumped out at me in a way.
Some of them are my favrorites from ‘09, some debuts, some I selected because I felt no list of ‘09 would be complete without that artist being represented, and some are probably from ‘08 and I was a little late to the party on.
It’s been awhile since I attempted the fine art of playlist construction, but I’m pretty pleased with it.
At first I wasn’t too sure I could fill out a decent list, as I felt like I’ve spaced on a good portion of the year music-wise, but in the end it took alot to cut it down.
How did I get to 23? First I decided it would be cool in a lame way to have a song called “twenty three” at #23. And once I decided that I figured might as well stop at 23. Then I realized only 23 would fit in a screen grab on my tiny dell laptop anyway (RIP macbook). So there it is.
They aren’t in a countdown type ranked order of any sort, rather I just liked the way they played out, with the sequence of both the music and also the song titles in a cheesy way.
Whatever the reason, these songs stood out for me.
Now fixed so its numbered, just drag into a playlist.
Enjoy
