regurgitated NONSENSE
This may be Burke’s best move to date Leaf fans. A two year deal for very little money for a very underrated defenseman. Red Wings fans can not be pleased they lost him…
That’s so hilarious it’s impossible to respond.
After a year when he was a #6-7 defensemen for the Wings, and often benched, Toronto decides to of course double his salary and sign him for two years.
(via Nightmare on Helm Street) my new favorite blog name ever
Riley Sheahan, first rounder for the wings..Finally got around to youtubing him, all I can find is a young Riley doing some stick/puck tricks in his driveway LOL. NHL has a few highlights.
Also, want to see Teemu Pulkinnen play, Alan Muir wrote this about him:
Remember the name I: Teemu Pulkinnen, Detroit Red Wings
The Finnish sniper was ranked among the top 50 prospects available, so the fact that Detroit was able to snap him up at 112 seems like a tremendous value. Certainly has the chance to turn out that way as Pulkkinen is recognized as one of the premier goal scorers in this draft.
With a name like Teemu he better be able to fill the net
Here’s a scene we saw alot tonight.
What can I say about Franzen? 4 goals is unheard of…but 4 straight in the first period?? By the same player?? Natural hat trick+1.
And then to had a 5th?
(Edit: 4th goal was changed,to Bertuzzi, but still, the natural hatty and 4 goals total..wow)
7-1 win. Now if we only didn’t blow the lead in game 3. 3-1 and 2-2 are so far away despite being a 1 game difference. If any team can do this, its the wings. Go Wings! Alright Mule!
Devin Setoguchi at a recent Sharks practice.

haha, i love how no one has said anything about the brilliant sell on Marleau’s “boarding” penalty… that led to the wings leading goal. What about Heatley’s “interference” you know the one that took away our PP with 2 minutes to go. Putting the wings right back in it. Oh, then the too many men on the ice happened. Did the sharks flop around on the ground to get that call?
I’m sorry, but just as many bad calls went against the Sharks…
That’s bullshit. We took ten penalties. Ten. That’s twenty minutes on the penalty kill. The Sharks’ one bad call to our eight bad calls isn’t comparable. We’re the least penalized team in the NHL, which should tell you something.
I’ve been biting my tongue on this since the game, but when somebody tries to claim it evened out on the Shark’s end, I can no longer be silent.
EVEN if some of the calls for Detroit were questionable… 10 to 4 does not equal “just as many”. It’s not even close. People can talk about us Wings fans being whiners and complainers all they want (look even i’m embarrassed by some of the wings “fans” that post in hockey threads), but you can’t in any way watch that game and say the officiating wasn’t one of the absolutely worst, most one sided affairs you’ve ever seen.
The officiating crew should be ashamed. And Nabokov, I’m not even going to waste my time. Pathetic.
Headed back to hockeytown, and that’s the last I’ll say of this. We’ll see how the Sharks react when its 2-2 and the choke talk starts.
First some coyotes fan throws a snake on the ice, and now a sharks fan throws a shark out there tonight?
C’mon, everyone’s biting Detroit’s style.
Come up with your own traditions. Then again you play hockey in Phoenix and San Jose, so I can see where you have no sense of hockey identity.
Lame and uninspired.
I’m sorry but Abdelkader is killing the team with these penalties.
Used to love the kid but he’s gotta get his shit in line.

More of this, less of the dumb stuff plz.
This is from a spreadsheet the Detroit Redwings put together for fans across the country to find viewing parties…
I was stoked to find Rochester listed, but then realized its just a couple random people watching it at their house :/
GO WINGS
